Top guns set bar high for Corvatsch finals

Johanne Killi (NOR) and Maggie Voisin (USA) as well as Andri Ragettli (SUI), Gus Kenworthy (USA), McRae Williams (USA) and Henrik Harlaut (SWE) have tooped their respective heats at the qualifications for the final World Cup stop of the season staged at Silvaplana's Corvatsch Park. 

Following the weather forecast predicting some significant snowfall for the weekend, the jury decided to run both, ladies and men's qualifications today, and thus creating some space to postpone the finals for Friday. 

With over 100 riders on the starting list, counting in some of the biggest names in sport, the level was off the hook all day long as we could watch some of the finest jibb and air tricks on one of the most exciting course on tour.


At the end of the day top 8 ladies and top 16 men have made it through the first phase of the competition and will be ready to step it up in tomorrow's grand finale.

Top qualifiers from ladies' competition Johanne Killi (NOR) and Maggie Voisin (USA) will be joined in the finals by Isabel Atkin (GBR), Giula Tanno (SUI) and Colline Ballet-Baz (FRA) as well as Devin Logan (USA), Emma Dahlrstom (SWE) and Mathilde Gremaud (SUI), who rounded out top 4 spots in heat 1 and 2 respectively.

In the men's final top 16 after the qualifications include Andri Ragettli (SUI), Alex Bellemare (CAN), Nick Goepper (USA) and Jossi Wells (NZL) - from heat 1, Gus Kenworthy (USA), Bobby Brown (USA), Christian Nummedal (NOR) and Antoine Adelisse (FRA) - from heat 2, McRae Williams (USA), Evan McEachran (CAN), Teal Harle (CAN) and Matthew Wilcox (CAN) - from heat 3, as well as Henrik Harlaut (SWE), Jesper Tjader (SWE), Colin Wili (SUI) and Noah Morrison (CAN) - from heat 4.

With crystal globes still up for grabs and such a strong field on hand in Corvatsh, tomorrow's competition has all the ingredients to be one of the very best of the season.

The finals are scheduled to take place on Friday, March 3 at 10:30 CET!
