Noriaki Kasai already set his sights on the 2022 Olympics

Noriaki Kasai set a record in PyeongChang with participating in his eighth Olympic Winter Games, but that's not enough for the Japanese, who has already set high goals for himself for Beijing 2022.

"I'm not going to try, I will definitely be there. I watched the others win medals and it fired me up. I can still keep going. I am by no means finished", the 45-year-said according to a report on Yahoo! Sports.

Noriaki Kasai finished 21st and 33rd in the two individual competitions in PyeongChang and came in sixth with the Japanese team on Monday. The veteran was not satisfied with these results.

"I'm thrilled to have competed for the eighth time but equally annoyed that I couldn’t win a medal. I only showed half of what I can do here. The other half, I’ll show in four years’ time. I want to work on my jumps the next four years and perfect them. If I can bring myself to peak form then I can medal as an individual, help the team medal" the crowd favorite is quoted on sports.yahoo.com.

In 1992, Noriaki Kasai took part in his first Olympics. He won his first medal 1994 in Lillehammer with the second place in the team competition. 20 years later in Sochi, the Japanese claimed silver in the individual event on the large hill and won the bronze medal with the team.
