GB Freeski team gets sponsorship
The financial services firm, Reeves, is backing GB freeskiers. They have some realistic medal chances for the Sochi Winter Olympics next February.
Reeves will inject funding and financial services support into Great Britain's elite freeski team and athletes.
Support through this partnership will enable the expansion of GBFreeski's elite athlete intensive conditioning and technique training programmes happening this summer in New Zealand, USA, and at UK snow centres.
The exact level of sponsorship has not been revealed, but it is considered to be a significant contribution.
GB freeskiers are currently some of the top riders in the world and have the chance of Olympic medal success.
Jamie Woods is the current World Champion gold medal holder and ranked World No1 in ski slopestyle.
Katie Summerhayes in ranked 6th and has the World Champion silver medal in slopestyle.
"This is such a fantastic confidence boost for me, for all our team to have a big company like Reeves recognise where we've got to and back us personally," said 17-year old Katie.
