European broadcasting Union rejected offer of individual starts in marathon races
The offer of the World Cup Holmenkollen Organizing committee and the World Championship Organizing Committee of making individual starts in Marathon races was rejected by the European Broadcasting Committee.
Athletes supported the idea, which is aimed to make marathon races spectacular for the whole time of competition, not only last five kilometers.
But the broadcasting rights holders rejected this offer, because otherwise the broadcasting time will longer.
