The Head coach of the Norwegian men cross-country skiing team Trond Nystad announced that Petter Northug can’t get a place in a national team squad.

“Due to results of Northug’s performance this year he is not ready for the Olympic Games . Like others he has to compete and to prove his right for a place in the national team squad.”
