Filip Flisar supports local skatepark project
The Slovenian ski cross racer appears in a video produced by some Maribor locals who are currently running a campaign for a new skate park in their home town.

It's a creative approach to give utterance to the need of some new facilities.

Besides the video which features Flisar as hammer thrower, there is also another one with two skaters performing as football players.

And there is even more to come according to Iztok Sumatic, a Snowboard World Cup judge, who had the idea with the video campaign.

“We are fighting for a new concrete skatepark, where we could ride properly and organise international contests”, Sumatic says while also adding that the current obstacles are old, old fashioned, dangerous and not good enough for some new school tricks.

As Flisar is a skater himself, he quickly joined the movement – much to the joy of Sumatic: “He is the most famous among us. It's good to have him aboard as an ambassador.”
