Thanks to an initiative by the German Ski Association, Cross-Country Skiing is developing in Mongolia. Young, talented athletes will soon be attending their first training camp at the Black Forest.
Final inspections for 2015 FIS World Championships ahead

The highlight and key focus of the season ahead will be the FIS World Championships. But before fans and athletes descend upon Kreischberg (AUT), Falun (SWE) and Vail-Beaver Creek (USA), there are final preparations to be made as the Organising Committees and FIS get ready for the Final Inspections of the three World Championship sites.

Over the past few seasons Andre Myhrer has been a constant name on the top of the slalom rankings, winning the slalom title in 2012, standing on the podium 18 times, of which five on the top step and winning bronze at the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver.

For Canadian NoCo and Jumping, No OTP Funding Closes ‘Every Other Door’

The future of ski jumping and nordic combined in Canada is in limbo after one of the sports’ main funding sources, Own the Podium (OTP), decided to stop funding the sports for the 2014/2015 season. OTP is a sport-support program that makes recommendations for government and private-sector funding based on “targeted excellence” criteria.
