Update - FIS Development Programme Nordic Training Camp
The FIS Development Programme Nordic Winter Training Camp 2015 for Ski Jumping and Nordic Combined was successfully held in Val di Fiemme (ITA) from 11th to 18th January 2015.
The FIS camp was originally planned in December 2014 but due to a lack of snow, the Organisers rescheduled the camp to January.
A total of 21 athletes and nine trainers from six nations (BUL, HUN, LAT, ROU, SVK, UKR) participated in the week-long camp. All participants jumped on the HS105 hill, to prepare for the EYOWF (European Youth Olympic Winter Festival) and JWSC 2015 in Almaty (KAZ), which were the highlights of the season for this age group.
Two daily sessions of ski jumping and some theoretical seminars were organised for the teams. Video analysis of the jumps and ski waxing were used as a valuable learning opportunity for the young athletes and coaches.
On Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th January to conclude the FIS Development Camp, the FIS Cup competition in Kranj (SLO) offered the opportunity for the athletes to test and evaluate their improvements.
