Sergey Korol, General Director of the Russian Ski Association and Vice President of the Russian Freestyle Federation, passed away on 21st March 2015 unexpectedly at the age of 58.

A member of the FIS Advertising Committee and a regular at FIS meetings, he devoted his life to sports and was a professional with outstanding organisational and people skills. Sergey Korol earned due respect of his colleagues and friends, athletes and people outside of the sports sphere.

FIS would like to express its sincere condolences to the family and friends of Sergey Korol whose contribution and commitment to the sport of skiing will not be forgotten.
