FIS Masters Cup concludes in Hinterstoder
The FIS Masters Cup Finals were held in Hinterstoder (AUT) on 10th and 11th April 2015. As the Finals award double points, many categories were only decided in the last races which made for exciting competitions.

In the male category B-12 (ages 85-89) Gaetano Demattei (USA) had a five-point lead over Hans Boehmer (AUT), but the Austrian won both events in Hinterstoder and finished first with 275 points. In the ladies’ category C-11 (ages 80-84), Gesumina Suster (ITA) had a comfortable lead coming into the Finals and won both final events to consolidate her first place.

In the men’s youngest category A-1 (ages 30-34) both Andrea Zanei (ITA) and Christian Mackamul (GER) finished the season equal on 265 points, but the crystal globe went to the Italian racer based with better FIS points.

This season, the FIS Masters Cup got underway in September in Chile and counted 35 races in ten different countries across three continents. There were over 5,700 starts with an average of 164 participants per race.
