In two weeks, the FIS Calendar Conference 2015 will take place in Varna (BUL) starting on Wednesday, 3rd June 2015. The Bulgarian Ski Association as well as the staff of the International Hotel Casino & Tower Suites in Golden Sands look forward to welcoming the FIS family.
The programme will feature the spring meetings of the various FIS Technical Committees (for full schedule see here) in addition to the 4th edition of the all-FIS discipline World Cup Organisers' Seminar.
Under the title of ‘Bringing More Value to your Event’ this year’s FIS World Cup Organisers Seminar seeks to explore the vast array of tools available for Organisers to capitalise on their events. From new technological opportunities, such as Web domain names and Apps, to putting an actual value on the economic significance of a World Cup race to a community, the Seminar will give Organisers ideas and tools when looking ahead to the future. More than 100 representatives of various FIS World Cup Organisers and Nationals Ski Associations have already signed up for the Seminar on Saturday, 6th June from 9:00-11:30 CET.
Furthermore, the programme of the FIS Calendar Conference will feature a briefing with the Candidates for the 2020 and 2021 FIS World Ski Championships, in order to review the steps and procedures until the election of the Organisers by the FIS Council in June 2016.
Additionally, the provisionally elected members of the FIS Athletes’ Commission for the term of 2015-2017 will convene for the first time in Varna.
