

On 2nd June 2015, Florian Kurz was named as the new Secretary General of the German Ski Association (DSV) to replace retiring Thomas Pfüller who has held the position since 2002. Kurz will begin his new role in January 2016.
Kurz is a Master’s graduate in Executive Management from the University of St. Gallen (SUI), and has held numerous leading positions for organisations, events and companies in international sports. Most recently, he was Director of Business Relations for Porsche, heading the worldwide marketing of motor sports before he joined the Board of Directors of a leading German company in sports, events and marketing, ESB Marketing Netzwerk AG.
“We are very pleased that with Florian Kurz a person with such a multi-faceted and specialist background was selected. His expertise will provide further significant vitality and input to the development of the DSV. Under Thomas Pfüller, the DSV has developed into one of Germany’s most successful federations. We will continue using his expertise also after he retires,” Franz Steinle, President of the DSV said.
