Impressive calendar guarantees top events
The 2015-16 FIS Snowboard Freestyle World Cup season will be packed with a total of 17 competitions spread over 13 stops featuring well-known resorts as well as first-timers.

While slopestyle and big air will be represented with four contests, five events are scheduled for the Halfpipe World Cup tour.

Things get started down under as two years ago with Cardrona, New Zealand hosting the season's first slopestyle and halfpipe comps as part of the famous Winter Games NZ.

More than two months later, the big air specialists take over the Northern Hemisphere with the World Cup tour returning to London after a break of four years on November 14.

Four weeks later, Istanbul, Turkey will be ready to repeat its successful big air debut of last year on December 19.

After the turn of the year, Mammoth, a long-time host of the US Grand Prix tour, will join the FIS World Cup tour for the very first time hosting a slopestyle and halfpipe event mid of January with the Park City Grand Prix stop following beginning of February with the same programme.

The weekend after will be packed with a big air in the States (venue still to be confirmed) as well as a slopestyle, halfpipe and big air contest at Stoneham, Quebec.

February 19 to 20 will bring the Olympic test event for the 2018 Winter Games in PyeongChang at Phoenix Park, Korea while the halfpipe specialists return to Sapporo, Japan after a break of eleven years to compete in the season's Halfpipe World Cup finals.

As last year, the last slopestyle competition will go down at the Winterjam staged in Spindleruv Mlyn, Czech Republic on March 19.

The big air season is supposed to end in Austria on April 15 to 16 with the venue still to be confirmed.
