For the first time in history, a double World Cup event of ski cross and snowboard cross action will take place in Europe as Montafon, Austria will organise races in both disciplines within only seven days.

It all kicks off with the ski cross World Cup opener on December 5th, before snowboarders take over the stage one week later.

“We had checked the site last year for the first time”, said FIS Race Director Martin Fiala. “I'm very optimistic that we will see an attractive race.”

Montafon, a host of a ski cross Europa Cup race back in 2013 is no stranger to running high quality World Cup level events.

After an incredible performance of the Local Organisers over the course of the last four years by hosting several snowboard World Cup stops, it's time to step it up for them again with the AUDI FIS Ski Cross World Cup tour beginning of next winter season.
