Equipment control under special observation

A nice side story from the Grand Prix in Courchevel (FRA).

Louison, 3-year-old son of French ski jumper Vincent Descombes Sevoie, wanted to greet his Dad at the so-called exit gate, where the athletes leave the hill after their jump, at the home event in Courchevel, France.

But Descombes Sevoie had to go to the equipment control after his jump, so he was not able to take care for his son right away. Louisan was not happy about the fact that he could not be with his Dad and so the young man started crying.

FIS equipment controller Sepp Gratzer could not resist these tearful emotions and Louison quickly became the new control-assistant and got access to the control area.

So the control of the athlete took place under special observation by the boy. Everything was okay and so Descombes Sevoie scored some GP points in 23rd. And after the control, the fans got the long-awaited autographed cards from father and son.
