Clubs want to move ski jumping forward in Sweden
Representatives from ski jumping clubs from all over the country recently met in Falun, host city of the last Nordic Ski World Championships, in order to develop strategies on how to lead this sport in Sweden to a positive future.

The initiative was started by the clubs this spring, the various proposals were now discussed at the meeting last weekend. In the future different groups shall focus on rebuilding the sport of ski jumping in Sweden, ladies' ski jumping, marketing and sponsorships and the external and internal communication.

Everyone involved considers this meeting an important step in the right direction, but is aware of the fact that it requires a lot of work to move ski jumping forward to a strong and sustainable future.

"It's incredibly inspiring to leave a meeting with such a positive energy and continue the important work we have started, in order to rebuild Swedish ski jumping", said Peder Ekstrand of the ski jumping club Sollentuna, the new manager responsible for rebuilding ski jumping in Sweden.
