During the FIS Technical Committee Meetings from 3rd-6th October 2017 in Zurich (SUI), Committees from the various FIS disciplines will meet to put the final touches on the plans for the upcoming season. Also on the agenda will be the annual Youth and Children’s Seminar with the theme ‘Parenting’.
The goal of the 15th edition of the seminar is to provide National Ski Associations with best practices for their work with parents to create a positive and healthy environment in which children can pursue their highest goals and develop into value-driven, successful and happy people.
Speakers include Reijo Jylhä, Coach of the Finnish Cross-Country Team and father of cross-country skier Martti Jylhä, Alpine Coach Hugues Ansermoz, Andrew Yule, father of Alpine skier Daniel Yule and Francesco Fiorini of the International School Sport Federation.
Meanwhile, Jim Taylor, Ph.D., an international authority on the psychology of sport and parenting and a former Alpine skier, will share his vast experience.
