The 4th of February 2019 will mark the first day of the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships in Åre (SWE), the third at the Swedish venue and the 45th official FIS Alpine World Ski Championships.
Over 600 participants from 65 nations will take part in the event, along with 120,000 visitors expected from around the world. Besides the volunteers and sponsors, around 1,300 media representatives are expected.
For media representatives planning to cover the event on site, the application for accreditation is now open and can be submitted via the Åre 2019 website. Once approved, accreditations can be picked up at the welcome centre at Holiday Club at Åre station upon arrival. Spectator tickets for the event are also available on the Åre 2019 website, as well as different options for accommodation.
