Halti and the International Ski Federation FIS will start their eleventh consecutive season together. The cooperation started in 2008 equiping the Alpine Skiing competition management and FIS officials, and today Halti is the Official Clothing Supplier for Alpine, Cross-Country, Ski Jumping, Nordic Combined, Freestyle Skiing and Snowboarding.
“We are very proud to be the Official Partner for the FIS in all six Olympic disciplines”, said Sami Kiiski, the CEO of Halti.
Halti provides high-level, technical and functional clothing to FIS technical staff, officials, FIS Council and office staff. The clothing is FIS branded and meets the specific needs of each FIS role.
“For us at Halti it is very important to get the feedback from the FIS members on how our clothing performs in the harshest weather conditions”, says Kiiski. “This helps us further develop our products to meet the needs of professionals and other ski and outdoor enthusiasts”.
"Due to the extreme and different winter weather the FIS staff faces during the season, we need the best quality outdoor products. We have deep trust and a positive long-term experience with the Halti gear", explains Jürg Capol, FIS Marketing Director.
Halti is a leading Nordic Outdoor Company from Finland. The company’s origins date back to 1976. Through the past 40 years Halti has equipped and sponsored many of the world’s top athletes from winter sports to adventure racers and expeditions in the North and South Pole to Mount Everest. Halti designs functional, high quality and sustainable apparel, footwear and hardware with Nordic aesthetics. “Our mission from the very start to this day has been to connect people with nature. We are happy to support the FIS staff in their work in the ever-changing weather conditions the World Cup tour and other FIS events have to offer”, says Kiiski.
