Swiss-Ski World Snow Day Awards
On 9th April, Swiss-Ski presented prizes to the top three winners of the Swiss-Ski 2013 World Snow Day Award during a small reception at the FIS headquarters in Oberhofen (SUI).
By offering diverse and fun events for 120 children, including helicopter rides, snow tubing and snow biking, the “Touristische Unternehmung Grächen AG“ claimed the win among 23 different World Snow Day locations in Switzerland who staged events for the 2nd edition of World Snow Day in 2013.
The ”Kindergartenskischulwoche Viamala in Tschappina Heinzenberg” and “Aletsch Arena AG” finish second and third, respectively. To honour the different initiatives and to encourage action in the coming years, the three winning Organisers received a cheque from between 1‘000-3‘000 CHF.
The award was presented at a small ceremony that included a welcome by FIS President Gian Franco Kasper, Gary Fuhrer, head of grassroots sports at Swiss-Ski, and FIS Bring Children to the Snow Coordinator Andrew Cholinski.
