FIS Council decisions June 2013
The FIS Council held its Spring Meeting at the Hotel Croatia in Cavtat-Dubrovnik (CRO) on Monday 10th June 2013.

FIS World Championships and Junior World Championships

- Grandvalira/Pas de la Casa Pas de la Case (Andorra) was appointed as Organiser of the Speed Skiing World Championships in 2015.
- La Plagne (FRA) was appointed as Organiser of the Telemark World Championships 2017.
- Geilo (NOR) was appointed as Organiser of the Telemark Junior World Championships 2014.
- Hafjell (NOR) was appointed as Organiser of the FIS Alpine Junior World Ski Championships 2015. This is also designed to serve as a “test event” for the 2016 Youth Winter Olympic Games in Lillehammer.
- Almaty (KAZ) was appointed as Organiser of the FIS Nordic Junior World Ski Championships 2015.
- Valmalenco (ITA) as Organiser of the FIS Freestyle Skiing and Snowboard Junior World Ski Championships 2015.

- The Council confirmed the Candidates for the FIS World Championships in 2018 and 2019 as well as the procedure for the election on 5th June 2014 in Barcelona (SPA). The deadline for applications for the FIS Freestyle Skiing-Snowboard World Championships 2019 has been extended to 1st October 2013.

Olympic Winter Games

The update report was received from Sochi 2014 and the progress with completion of the venues as well as the outcome of the FIS World Cup and European Cup competitions during 2012/13 were positively received. Confirmation of the appointment of most Sochi 2014 key technical officials was made, with the exception of Cross-Country Skiing.
