Ready, Set, Roll!
The top roller skiers have gathered in Bad Peterstal in the Black Forest of Germany for the Rollerski World Championships 2013 which run from 3rd – 8th September. 

The championships kicked off on Tuesday afternoon with an opening ceremony, which welcomed more than 130 athletes from 15 nations.

The first set of medals will distributed on Wednesday in individual competitions in free technique. Thursday September 5th will be packed with sprinting action as individual sprints in the free technique are on the programme in the streets of Bad Peterstal.

Friday will be a free day for the athletes but not for the Organising Committee with the Action Day on the agenda. Organisers have invited schools, kids, clubs and youth for technical skills competitions on inline skates and a painting contest. Winners of the Action Day activities will be presented as part of the prize giving ceremony on Friday evening.

After the free day, the Championships will continue with team sprint free technique on Saturday and the mass start uphill competition in classic on Sunday.
