Besides the meetings of the various Committees, Sub-Committees, Working Groups, Technical Delegate and Organiser pre-season workshops, numerous other formal and informal meetings will take place among some 500 members of the extended ski family.

A key event at the Autumn meetings is the 11th FIS Youth and Children’s and Leaders Seminar, which will be held on Wednesday 2nd October. This year the FIS Development Programme Leaders Seminar has been integrated into the programme to tackle the theme of ‘Recruitment and Retention’ and will focus primarily on how to attract the younger generation to snow sports and how to best keep them involved. 

There will be experts on hand from various fields to help guide the FIS family in its efforts to reach out to the next generation of skiers and snowboarders. Afternoon working groups will allow more in-depth discussion and exchange of experience among the 60+ participants.
