Wind prevends competitions in Hinzenbach
Wind speeds of 5 - 11 meters/second made it impossible to carry out the FIS Grand Prix competition in Hinzenbach, Austria.

The jury first decided to cancel the trial round and was hoping for the wind to calm down later. Then the start of the competition, originally scheduled for 2:00 pm CET, was then postponed for 30 minutes various times.

But the conditions didn't get any better: After the competition was postponed three times the wind didn't calm down.

"We are in between to weather fronts, one from the north and one from the south and this stream is too strong, up to 10 m/s, this equals 30 km/h. Ski jumping is impossible under these conditions. Unfortunately it didn't change throughout the day and so we were forced to make this decision", FIS race director said after the cancelation.

This means that the overall FIS Grand Prix 2013 will be decided in the final event in Klingenthal, Germany, on Thursday. After the cancellation in Hinzenbach, the current leader Jernej Damjan of Slovenia (419 points) and Andreas Wellinger of Germany (340 points) still have a chance to win the overall title.
