WADA Foundation Board approves Code implementation
In his capacity as a member of the Executive Committee and the Foundation Board of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), FIS President Gian Franco Kasper attended the organisation’s respective meetings from 17th-18th May 2014 in Montreal (CAN).
During the two-day session, WADA’s Foundation Board approved key plans relating to Code implementation and Compliance reporting. It was presented with technical documents and matters relating to the Athlete Biological Passport, as well as the addition of a substance to the 2014 Prohibited List.
As part of the implementation process of the World-Anti Doping Code, the Foundation Board received an update on the Athlete Guide to the Code, a tool aimed at helping athletes understand the rules of the Code ahead of its introduction in 2015. The Guide will be published in electronic form later in 2014.
