Snowboard Cross training camp in the southern hemisphere
Canada Snowboard, Team Australia as well as some more other riders are currently in Argentina to benefit from perfect conditions in Ushuaia and prepare for their next season.

Jeff Ihaksi (CAN) as well as Rene Brunner (AUT), SBX Coach of the Canadian squad, have built a World Cup level course in the Cerro Castor Ressort which provides a top set-up at this time of the year.

It's the third time that Canada Snowboard has travelled to the most southern city in the world for a preparation camp where the team capitalises on skidoos during their training sessions and the ability to run full heats.

It might be the place with the highest concentration of sbx talent right now as the Canadians are sharing the site with the Australian racers, US top gun Lindsey Jacobellis as well as her team mate Hagen Kearney and Norwegian Viking Stian Sivertzen.

In addition, the ISTC team led by Ross Hindman is also giving it a shot.

With some great outcome. “It's pretty cool here right now,” said Rene Brunner in a short chat.

“The Aussie boys are on fire already after a great winter they had back home. However, they still decided to travel to Ushuaia to join us at this camp.”

That said, everything looks promising for a great World Cup opener in less than three months. Montafon will host a single event as well as Team SBX again from December 5 thru 7.
