World Snow Day status update
Preparations for the 4th edition of World Snow Day are accelerating at a rapid pace. Already there is a 19% increase of the number of events compared to the same time last year.
Organisers have also continued to use their creativity in planning events. Confirmed events already include:
•Free and discounted lift passes for school children at 136 resort across Austria
•A summer World Snow Day in Johannesburg (RSA)
•Free ski and snowboard lessons for children in Verbier, Villars - sur- Ollon and Saas Grund (SUI)
•Ski for Peace festival in Malam Jada Swat (PAK)
•Children snow party Serra da Estrela (POR)
•Children’s snow festival Zakopane (POL)
•Children’s snow festival Parnossos (GRE)
•Children snow safety days with snow games and live entertainment throughout Canada
In addition to rapid growth in events, the World Snow Day partners continue their positive support. Together with Audi, over 60’000 pieces of equipment have been distributed around the world to help the Organisers stage events.
In addition, Sanetta and Best of the Alps continue their support through the communication of the event as well as establishing events themselves. Finally, FIS will shortly announce some big news regarding the World Snow Day media partners. Stay tuned.
