Ski Jumping: Klingenthal shaping up for World Cup opener
In only nine days, the men’s FIS Ski Jumping World Cup presented by Viessmann will get underway in Klingenthal (GER) and final preparations are in full swing.

Despite mild temperatures of about 8°Celsius in the Vogtland Arena, snow production is almost complete with the final hill preparation starting early next week.

Currently, the Organisers are working on finalising the athletes' village. A large VIP-cabin located next to the outrun was already installed in conjunction with the FIS Grand Prix final.

The media centre, which will serve as a comfortable work place, only needs a few extra tables and chairs before it is complete. A total of 100 journalists from ten nations are expected to report from the opening competitions.

Local students and firefighters have a special reason to look forward to the events. While students will receive free admission to the qualification round, firefighters have been invited as a special thank you for their help during the flooding in the past year and will receive special rates for the main competitions.

The FIS Ski Jumping World Cup presented by Viessmann will run from 21st – 23rd November 2014 featuring a qualification, a team event and an individual competition.
