Green light for the World Cup in Klingenthal
It seems that nothing should stand in the way of the World Cup opening in Klingenthal (GER) next week.
This good news from the Vogtland came on Friday after the official snow control of the International Ski Federation (FIS).
"After having talked to Alexander Ziron, the head of the Organizing Committee, I can say that the World Cup in Klingenthal is secure. 200 cubic meters of snow are produced daily, the preparation of the hill shall be completed by next Wednesday. I think that only extreme weather conditions, which are not expected, can prevent the event from taking place", said Rudi Tusch of the German Ski Association.
The 2014/15 World Cup season will start on Friday, November 21st, with the official training and qualification. A team and an individual competition will then follow on Saturday and Sunday.
