Lack of snow and continuous warm weather conditions have forced Local Organisers and FIS Officials to postpone the season's Snowboard Cross World Cup opener in Montafon, Austria.

The races scheduled for Dec 5 thru 7, 2014 will be postponed to a later date in December.

The new programme will be announced tomorrow, Tuesday, Nov 25.

According to Chisi Speckle, member of the Organising Committee, 50,000 m³ of snow are missing to built a decent and safe course for the riders.

“We were able to produce 10,000 m³ but need 60,000 m³. We have to wait for colder temperatures.”
