Green light for the World Cup in Ramsau
After the lack of snow in middle Europe is making it difficult for organisers everywhere to prepare the jumping hills and tracks for competition use, there was a little doubt also about the World Cup in Ramsau am Dachstein which is scheduled to the next weekend.
After the venue was inspected, the relieving message came this morning: the World Cup is confirmed, even though it will only be a shorter cross-country track that the athletes will have to ski on.
Race Director Lasse Ottesen: „The Organising Committee in Ramsau has done a good job to be able to confirm the World Cup event. This are some very limited snow conditions but we hope to have a 1.5 km track ready by Saturday.“
Ramsau’s HS 98 jumping hill was ready today and will not pose any problems in terms of the preparation.
