Continental Cup in Klingenthal cancelled
The difficult weather situation in middle Europe continues to make things difficult also for Nordic Combined organisers. Now the next Continental Cup competitions which were scheduled to take place at Klingenthal, Germany, next weekend had to be cancelled.
„Because of insufficient snow levels and too warm temperatures, it is not possible to prepare the competition sites“, VSC Vice President Marcus Stark explains. Together with a lot of rain over the weekend, the unusually warm temperatures had even melted the artificial snow at the Vogtland Arena which had been prepared since the World Cup Opening of the Ski Jumping World Cup in November.
