Final countdown to Kreischberg 2015
Athletes, teams, Organisers, media representatives and everyone else involved are ready for the highlight of the Freestyle Skiing and Snowboard season – the FIS World Championships in Kreischberg and Lachtal (AUT) – from 15th to 25th January 2015. In addition to breath-taking competitions, staging such an event in Austria guarantees crowds of fans and numerous festivities.
In seven days, the Opening Ceremony will officially kick off the Championships, The first medal competitions in aerials will take place that same night. In total, the Championships will feature 24 medal competitions with snowboard ladies’ big air being a novelty on the programme.
Meanwhile, the highly talented field of athletes features a significant number of World and Olympic Champions including Vic Wild (RUS), Justine Dufour-Lapointe, Marielle Thompson (both CAN), Julia Dujmovits (AUT), Torah Bright (AUS) and Iouri Podlatchikov (SUI).
