The next big highlight of the 2014/15 season is getting closer, the Nordic Ski World Championships in Falun (SWE) will start in less than a month.

We are on schedule with our preparations and notice that interest in the Championships is increasing day-by-day. There is great demand for tickets", said Sven von Holst, CEO of Falun 2015. So far more than 126 000 tickets have been sold or booked, on some days sections of the grandstand are already sold out.

The fans can look forward to seeing participants from all over the World, so far athletes of 60 different nations have been entered to compete. "In addition to the traditional nations such as Sweden, Norway and Finland, we will welcome athletes from Trinidad and Tobago and from the Kingdom of Tonga", said Sven von Holst.

In the past few weeks competitions in all three nordic disciplines were hel in Falun as a final test before the big event in February. "The sports organisation had a very comprehensive run-through. At the arena, everything worked well, even if we will make minor adjustments to make it even better."
