Stoneham is getting ready
Although the halfpipe event of the Snowboard Jamboree had to be cancelled last week, athletes and fans in Quebec can look forward to some nice riding in the resort of Stoneham from Feb 18th to 22nd.

As promised by Daniel Rochon, General Manager of Stoneham Mountain Resort, local organisers did their best to prepare an outstanding and safe slopestyle course for both, women and men which will provide a high-class World Cup competition.

In 250 hours of snowmaking, a total of 39,000 m³ have been produced while Steve Petrie and Charles Turcotte are responsible for the shaping.

The course will kick off with a three-kicker line with each of them varying between 50 to 60 feet.

Two jibbing sections with three rail options each spice things up at the end with the first one having a shipping container as a highlight which has a Mazda car inside.

The slopestyle qualifiers are scheduled for Feb 19th while the finals are set for the 21st.
