In his capacity as President of the Association of International Olympic Winter Sports Federations (AIOWF), FIS President Gian Franco Kasper attended the Olympic Summit of the International Olympic Committee on 21^st June 2016 in Lausanne (SUI).

The 50^th International Ski Congress in Cancun (MEX) from 6^th-10^th June 2016 was attended by more than 900 participants from the global ski family including delegates, representatives of National Ski Associations, Organising Committees, the ski industry, FIS partners and the media, who took part in more than 100 official meetings.

At the 50th FIS Congress in Cancun (MEX) this week, the competition calendars for summer 2016 and the 2016/16 winter season were officially approved by the FIS Council.
