With the countdown clock for the 2017 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in Lahti (FIN) hitting the 300-day mark tomorrow, the Organising Committee had a busy week, holding the important World Broadcaster meeting, immediately followed by the equally significant Coordination Group meetings.

FIS Development Programme: Freestyle skiers and snowboarders in action in Silvaplana

The FIS Development Freestyle Ski and Snowboard Training Camp 2016 was successfully held in Silvaplana (SUI) from 13th-18th April 2016. Twelve participants from Estonia, Serbia, Lebanon and Lithuania benefited from excellent slopes and snow conditions as well as a great snow park in Corvatsch.

St. Moritz 2017 Coordination Commission evaluates Season Finals

Less than a month after the successful conclusion of the Audi FIS Ski World Cup Finals in St. Moritz (SUI), the Coordination Group returned to the Engadine valley for the last spring meeting before St. Moritz hosts the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships in February 2017.
AIOWF General Assembly proposes Kasper for IOC Executive Board

Alongside the SportAccord Convention and conference sessions in Lausanne (SUI), the Association of International Olympic Winter Sports Federations (AIOWF) chaired by FIS President Gian Franco Kasper held its Annual General Assembly on 19th April 2016 to discuss various common issues to each of the Winter Federations related to the planning of PyeongChang 2018, Beijing 2022 and Lausanne 2020, anti-doping work and challenges together with WADA, as well as the implementation of the Olympic Channel.
TV experts meet in Gothenburg
