Last week FIS officials visited the location of the season-opening competition of the 2015/16 Audi ski cross World Cup season and confirmed a positive snow control assessment, with FIS ski cross race director Martin Fiala reporting, "The snow situation is not perfect at this moment, but all reviewed mid-term weather forecasts though the coming week show cold temperatures and significant snowfall.

After highly successful Audi FIS World Ski Championships in February 2015, the Birds of Prey is now ready to host the regular Alpine World Cup Tour as every year at the very beginning of December.
Training and qualification in Klingenthal postponed

The 2015/16 Ski Jumping World Cup season starts with a postponement. The training and the qualification in Klingenthal, scheduled for Friday afternoon, can not be held due to the difficult weather conditions.

It's been a busy period on the eve of the competition season for FIS Secretary General Sarah Lewis. The FIS Council Meeting took place on 7th November followed directly in Lausanne by theSportAccord Extraordinary General Assembly and IF Forum, as well as a key AIOWF Meeting with the IOC to address the roadmap for the 2026 Olympic Winter Games. She was recently named to the Coordination Commission for the 2020 Youth Olympic Games in Lausanne (SUI).
