

It is June, which means it’s time to get outside and be active. The IOC is once again celebrating Olympic Day on 23rd June, the date that the modern Olympic Games were revived in 1894.
Olympic Day invites people of all ages and abilities to join in the fun, get moving and discover new sports.
The IOC including famous athletes such as ski stars Lindsey Vonn (USA) and Kjetil Jansrud (NOR) are encouraging everyone, everywhere to get active throughout the month. People can share their sporting moments using #olympicday for a chance to win a trip for two to Rio ahead of next summer’s Olympic Games.

Athlete Learning Gateway
The 7th IOC Athlete Career Programme Forum (ACP) was staged last week in Lima (PER). With over 80 participants from 37 countries, the three-day Forum not only celebrated 10 years of the ACP, but also saw the official launch of online education service the IOC’s Athlete Learning Gateway, which is aimed at elite athletes and their coaches.
The Athlete Learning Gateway provides top athletes with courses and live online seminars aimed at helping them boost their performance and shape their future career anytime, anywhere, free of charge. Many Olympians and coaches as well as sports institutes, sports leaders and leading academics have contributed content for this programme, which offers modules on a wide range of topics such as nutrition, psychology, leadership, sports technology and injury prevention.
