FIS President active in IOC Commissions
On 31st May, the International Olympic Committee announced the composition of its working commissions for 2015 which guide the IOC and the Organising Committees for the Olympic Games in their missions.
FIS President Gian Franco Kasper will continue to serve in the Coordination Commissions for the 2nd Winter Youth Olympic Games – Lillehammer 2016, and the XXIII Olympic Winter Games – Pyeongchang 2018. He is also a member of the newly created Olympic Channel Commission.
Additionally, Sarah Lewis, FIS Secretary General has been appointed to the Olympic Programme Commission.
As a direct result of Olympic Agenda 2020 reforms, widespread changes were made to the IOC Commissions, most notably upping the number of ladies in the Commissions and including wider geographical representation.
