Minister of sport of the Russian Federation speaks about the work on the new Governmental Program "Development of the physical culture and sports".

The Governmental Program "Development of the physical culture and sports" will be carried out until 2020. It includes four subprograms: "Development of the physical culture and mass sport", "Development of the elite sport and the system of preparation of the reserve", "Development and establishment of the FIFA World Championships 2018 in Russian Federation" and "Management of the sport and physical education sector".

Also the Minister explained how the allocated funds will be used. "The sum of 135 billion rbl will be expended until 2020. It means during seven years. They will be spent not only on Sochi Olympic Games. Significant part will be spent on investment projects, for example 7-8 bil will be annually spent on building and reconstruction of the sports facilities. I mean the sport-base at Novogorsk, "Ozero Krugloye", at Kislovodsk, at Ruza, at Paramonovo etc. And don't forget about the Universiade at Kazan.

Only for preparation of the Russian national team to the Olympic Games at Sochi we spend 2 billion rubles a year. But we also provide the preparation of the reserve. Our National team squad includes 9 000 athletes and 3 500 coaches. - said Minister of sport, Vitaliy Mutko.
