On the Way to Olympics
Olympic torch will be brought to Elbrus, to the bottom of Baykal, to the North Pole and to space
President of the Organizing Committee "Sochi-2014" Dmitriy Chernyshenko stated that the Olympic Torch Relay Sochi-2014 will be unforgettable.
- It will be a project may be impossible to repeat, because our country is the biggest in the world. The relay will take 123 days. At least 90% of population of Russia will get the possibility to take part in the relay or to watch it. 9 time zones, 75 thousand km of road.
Chernyshenko added that during the relay special actions will be held: the torch will be brought to Elbrus, to the bottom of Baykal, to the North Pole and to space.
About 14 thousand of torch-keepers will take part in the event.
