On the Way to Olympics
Alma-Ata supports bid for Olympics-2022
A mass cycle-run took place in Alma-Ata (KAZ) to support a bid for Olympics-2022.
About 2000 people took part in the event. Cyclists had to reach a distance of 12 km.
An Olympic Champion Alexander Vinokurov was one of the participants.
Vice-mayor of the city Zauresh Amanjolova said after the event, that hosting of the Olympic Games would be a great stimulus for development of the city.
