Stefan Kraft takes the win in Lahti
Stefan Kraft won the individual competition in Lahti. With jumps on 127 m and 133.5 m and 284.5 points, the 4-Hills-Tournament winner took his third win this season ahead of Severin Freund and Anders Fannemel. World Cup leader Peter Prevc was fourth.

The Austrian was happy afterwards: “I already had some nice jumps this season and everything worked well again today. I'm in a very good position in the overall World Cup, but it's still a long way to go until Planica.”

World Champion Severin Freund showed jumps on 126 m and 126.5 m and came in 11.3 points behind Kraft. Freund said: “I'm satisfied today. The first competition after a major event is always hard, because you have to find the motivation again. I thought it would be difficult to remain in the good shape. That it worked so well today was just what I needed. It's also important to achieve good results at the end of the season, because you take them with to the summer.”

Fannemel with knee problems

World record holder Fannemel, who was in the lead after the first round, jumped on 127.5 m and 122 m and took the third place with 268.0 points, 1.8 points ahead of Peter Prevc. The Norwegian told: “I made a small mistake at the landing in the first jump and so my whole weight was on my right leg. Then it cracked in my knee and I considered not to jump anymore. The landing in the second round was then quite painful as well. Something's wrong and we need to find out what it is.”

Prevc defends Yellow Bib

Prevc had jumps on 123.5 m and 124.5 m. With his fourth place the Slovene could defend the overall lead in the World Cup, but he's now only seven points ahead of Stefan Kraft. Severin Freund in third is now 72 points behind and also still in a good position. The fifth place in Lahti went to Noriaki Kasai with jumps on 124.5 m and 127.5 m and 263.2 points. Only 0.7 points behind, Anders Bardal finished sixth.

Behind Gregor Schlierenzauer, who confirmed his upward trend in seventh with 259.2 points, Jarkko Maeaettae provided an unexpected success for the Finnish team. The eighth place with 255.6 points is the best World Cup result of his career so far. Michael Hayboeck followed in ninth with 253.0 points, the winner of the qualification, Anders Jacobsen, was tenth, only 0.1 point behind. Normal hill World Champion Rune Velta missed the Top 10 only by a tiny margin and was eleventh, followed by Taku Takeuchi and Jurij Tepes in 12th and 13th. Behind Roman Koudelka, Andreas Wellinger came in 15th, his teammate Richard Freitag was 16th.

Another Prevc scores World Cup points

Cene Prevc was 17th, his second-best result in the World Cup. While Piotr Zyla was the best Pole in 18th, the competition was already over after the first round for double Olympic Champion Kamil Stoch, who came in 45th. Mikhail Maksimochkin achieved his second-best result this season in 22nd, Vladimir Zografski scored World Cup points for the second time this winter in 24th. He was followed by the best Swiss, Simon Ammann, in 25th.

Germany still in the lead

In the Nation's Cup ranking Norway was able to get closer to Germany, but the German team still has a lead of 279 points over the Norwegians and 527 over Austria.

The qualification for the next individual competition in Kuopio already takes place on Monday at 5:00 pm CET.
