Alpine Team announcements 2015/16

After finalizing the structure of their coaching staff, teams have started to announce the final team rosters for the 2015/16 season.

Below is a summary of the teams that have been announced so far.

Austria

For next season Austria put together possibly the biggest teams, lead by Overall World Cup winners Anna Fenninger and Marcel Hirscher.

USA

The official presentation of Team USA will as every year take place in the fall but the nominations have been published on the team’s official website this week.

After speculations on whether Bode Miller’s injury at the World Championships might mark the end of his career, the USSA veteran has been included in the team nominations. Will we see him back on tour next season? At this point with no other announcements made it seems that we will.

Italy

15 ladies and 17 men have been nominated to the Italian World Cup teams for the upcoming season. Three World Cup groups have been put together for each gender and apart from a few exceptions; they are mostly composed by seasoned World Cup athletes.

Norway

After leading the Attacking Vikings on his own last season due to Aksel Lund Svindal’s injury, Kjetil Jansrud is getting his teammate back next season. It might make the chase for the speed titles an all-Norwegian affair once again.

Canada

At the beginning of May, the Canadian team officially announced the members of the Canadian Alpine Ski Team, Canadian Ski Cross Team and the Canadian Para-Alpine Ski Team. Veterans Erik Guay and Jan Hudec who have been injured this past season are on the list looking to make a comeback on Tour next season.

Germany

Here are the full team rosters for the German ladies and men's alpine teams for the upcoming season.

France

Marie Marchand-Arvier and Marion Bertrand bid farewell to the French team at the end of last season but the team for the upcoming season looks as strong as ever.

Switzerland

After some big changes in the leadership of the team, the Swiss were able to consolidate their teams for next season in a timely manner and allow athletes to start summer preparations within their teams. Here is the ladies' list and here the men's.

Finland

Once again team Finland will be lead on the tech side by Marcus Sandell and on the speed one by Andreas Romar, who is recovering from an injury he suffered after crashing in Saalbach.
