Date change for season's first slopestyle to avoid calendar clash

In order to minimise the impact of an accidental clash with the Mile High Slopestyle event in Australia (an international level TTR event), Local Organisers of the Winter Games NZ and host of the World Cup season's opener in Cardrona have made an adjustment to the Snowboard Schedules.

The change of date was done to allow snowboard athletes to attend both slopestyle events if they wish.

The dates for the Slopestyle World Cup have moved back by one day from the date originally advertised.

The first Team Captain's Meeting is now on Mon 17th Aug with the Finals on Sat 22nd Aug, with a weather day on Sun 25th.

There are flights available from Queenstown to Canberra leaving at 4pm on either the finals (sat) or the weather day (sun) that will allow riders to make it to Perisher in time for Qualifying (though they may miss the training day).
