Air time in the wind tunnel for Austrian team
It was the seventh time int total that the Austrian team has returned the wind tunnel of the RTA - Rail Tech Arsenal in Vienna to work on optimising the flying positions and the material fine tuning. In comparison to the „air time“ of only a couple of second on a jumping hill, flights in the wind tunnel can take up to two minutes and can be accompanied by a coach with instructions and suggestions for improvement.

„I have tested different equipment at the beginning of our jumping season now and the wind tunnel is a great place to fine tune everything“, Lukas Klapfer explained. „My goal is to find the perfect setup and develop my technique.“

Youngsters Philipp Orter and Mario Seidl were also happy about the additional air time that the tunnel supplies: „I think it’s great to collect fly time which isn’t so easy on the hill. Of course, it isn’t 100% applicable to jumping on a hill but it still gives you important insights. And it is a lot of fun“, Orter praised the experience. And Mario Seidl had an additional reason to smile“ „My girlfriend is living in Vienna at the moment, so it was great to be able to combine work and seeing her.“
