Russian Elena Alekhina and Astik Ter-Minasyan didn't pass the quailication round.

The end of the men's competition was a bit unexpectable. The 17 year old Japanese Taku Hiraoka reigned. "Silver" went to Yuri Podladchikov who represent Switzerland, "bronze" went to American Scotty Lago.

The only Russian who qualified to the semi-finals, Nikita Avtanayev, became 11-th among the semi-finalists.
