Russian national team took the second place at Valmalenco
Yesterday, 31 March, the most important junior freestyle skiing event finished at Valmalenco.
Russian national team won five medals of the Junior World Championships and outperformed itself this year. In previous year Russian freestyle skiing athletes had 4 medals and no “gold” ones. This time Sanislav Nikitin became the world champion in aerials, Yekaterina Maltseva and Vasiliy Polenov earned silver medals in ski-cross and aerials, Yekaterina Starichenko and Aleksandra Orlova, became third in ski-cross and aerials.
Athletes from 17 countries participated in the competitions. USA is on the first place with 9 medals (3 golds, 5 silvers, 1 bronzes).
