Gregor Schlierenzauer and Austrian ski jumpers learn... Russian Polka!
Since last Sunday Gregor Schlierenzauer and the rest of Austrian ski jumping national team trains in Faakersee federal center for next season.

 But apart of this type of training in nearby Villach Arena the guys of the team working with Manuel Stix (famous music producer and professional drummer) in a rhythm’s workshop!!!

The team spoke about this experience with percussion instruments and its combination with sports training :

Stefan Kraft: “Just when you discovered something new for ourselves, makes the whole group having much more fun. ”

Manuel Fettner: “It is unbelievable what cognitive challenges may pose seemingly simple tasks. Now we will continue to work on our Russian polka as a prelude to the Olympic Games. ”

Gregor Schlierenzauer: “Also in the sport right rhythm has a great importance. Moreover, the whole thing is a welcome change in the structure of hard training. ”

Head coach Alexander Pointner: “We find here once again excellent training conditions. We have found our rhythm in the truest sense of the word rather quickly. The whole team worked together on new skills that can certainly help us in the future in our sport also. “
